Operational practices are designed to comply with Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). Taylor Forensic Evidence Mapping is committed to protecting the privacy of the professionals served and the sensitive data contained within the documents provided for mapping.

2. Information Collection

The service collects only the information necessary to perform evidence mapping and organizational services. This includes:

  • Professional Contact Information: Name, email, and firm/practice details.

  • Case Documentation: Digital files provided for categorization (e.g., communications, financial records, or social media evidence).

3. Use of Information

Data provided is used strictly for the purpose of forensic evidence mapping and organization. Taylor Forensic Evidence Mapping does not:

  • Share, sell, or trade any personal or case-related data with third parties.

  • Use case data for any purpose other than the specific file requested.

  • Provide clinical assessments or legal advice.

4. Data Security & Storage

Taylor Forensic utilizes industry-standard security measures to ensure all data remains confidential:

  • Encrypted Communication: The firm utilizes Proton Mail for all file transfers and communications, ensuring end-to-end encryption.

  • Secure Storage: All files are stored in an encrypted 5TB cloud environment with strict access controls.

  • Work Environment: Work is performed from a secure, private, and dedicated professional workspace.

5. Data Retention

Once a mapping project is finalized and delivered, Taylor Forensic Evidence Mapping retains files only for as long as necessary to fulfill the service or as required by professional standards. Clients may request the immediate deletion of their data upon project completion.
